New York Sour

I’ve got a real treat for you!

My relationship with bourbon was on the rocks and then all at once I saw it in a whole new light!
Topping the classic whiskey sour with red wine gives a delicious new take on the cocktail!

The Bored-O Blanc grape nectar from Domaine Santé is a nice replacement for simple syrup in this pre-prohibition drink. It also enhances the wine floater that tops this beautiful cocktail

New York Sour

  • 2 oz Bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 3/4 oz Bored-O Blanc grape nectar
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Cabernet Sauvignon
  1. Add bourbon, grape nectar and lemon juice to a shaker and fill with ice
  2. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice
  3. Carefully pour the wine into the glass, over the back of a spoon so it floats on top of the drink
