Pumpkin Bread with Cream Cheese Filling
It’s time for cool weather, warm spices and pumpkin bread with cream cheese filling!
That’s right! Pumpkin bread, which is already fabulous, stuffed with slightly sweetened cream cheese and spiced perfectly with homemade pumpkin pie spice!
Though we don’t experience too much change in the weather here in Southern California, all the Fall spices can still appreciated!

It's time for cool weather, warm spices and pumpkin bread with cream cheese filling
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 cups or 15 oz can pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, flour, egg and vanilla until combined

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Line two 8" x 5" loaf pans with parchment paper

Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pumpkin pie spice and set aside

Mix the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, brown sugar, oil and Greek yogurt until smooth

Add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture and stir to combine

Pour about 1/4 of the pumpkin mixture into the bottom of each loaf pan

Add 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture over the top of each and spread out

Add the remaining pumpkin mixture evenly to each loaf pan

Bake 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean

Cool in pan 10 minutes

Place on rack and cool completely
