All Purpose Dry Rub
Fire up the grill and get your dry rub ready! It’s BBQ season!
Who am I kidding? I live in Southern California so BBQ season lasts longer than the Summer months. But even if the weather doesn’t permit outside cooking, this all purpose dry rub is stocked in my pantry because I’m in the kitchen mixing things up!
This is my basic dry rub that I use often in my kitchen. It can be used for just about everything that oinks, clucks or moos…on the grill or in the oven! My oven baked ribs turn out great every time with this! I’m also generous in coating chicken wings with this tasty rub…
Here’s my basic dry rub ingredients…
Great on ribs, chicken wings and even tri-tip! Makes about 1 1/2 cups
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 Tablespoons onion powder
- 2 Tablespoons salt
- 2 Tablespoons pepper
- 2 Tablespoons cumin
- 2 Tablespoons ground mustard
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon cayenne pepper
-
Add all ingredients to a bowl or mason jar and mix or shake well
-
Store in a cool, dry place
