
Chocolate Banana Cake Donuts
What to do with one lonely, very ripe banana? Make half a dozen chocolate banana cake donuts, that’s what!


- 1 large very ripe banana
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mash banana with a fork until smooth

Add sugar, oil, egg and vanilla and stir until combined

Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt

Divide the batter between 6 donut wells

Bake for 18 -20 minutes, until they spring back when pressed gently on top

Cool on rack

Mix together the powdered sugar and milk

Dip each donut in glaze
