Apple Fritter Bread
Delicious apples, warm cinnamon and a sugary glazed drizzle…serve me up a piece of that Apple Fritter Bread!
This treat gets requested often in our house! It really is delicious and the entire loaf is usually gone before the day ends.
I started making this quick bread a few years ago when the Hubby asked if I would provide snacks for his production sets. It was always a hit…and I haven’t stopped making it for our family.

Delicious apples, warm cinnamon and a sugary glazed drizzle...serve me up a piece of that apple fritter bread!
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 apples peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter room temperature
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk more if needed

Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon and set aside

Stir together the diced apples and cinnamon and set aside

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Prepare a 9" x 5" loaf pan with parchment paper

Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt and set aside

Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy
-
Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix to combine

Mix in the vanilla
-
Add half of the flour mixture and mix just until combined

Add the milk until incorporated
-
Mix in the remaining flour
-
Put half of the batter in the loaf pan and smooth out, evenly

Distribute half of the apples over the batter

Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over the apples

Cover with remaining batter

Top with the rest of the apples
-
Finish with the remaining cinnamon sugar topping

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, until toothpick comes out clean

Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to rack to cool

Mix together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth
-
Drizzle (or pour) over the apple bread
